About the Artist

Alison Griffin PVPRMS, SWA, SLm has been a miniature painter for over 30 years. She was the former Vice President of the Royal Society of Miniature Painters Sculptors and Gravers, and has won many prestigious awards with the society, including their top award 'The Gold Memorial Bowl' in 2007.

Specialising in painting cottage interiors and landscapes in acrylic or watercolour, her work is on display at the Francis Iles Gallery in Rochester and at The Royal Miniature Society Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London. She regularly exhibits with the Society of Women Artists and with the Llewellyn Gallery, London. Her work has been published as limited edition prints and greeting cards for Medici, Rosenstiels and Lings. Her paintings can also be found in many private collections.

Alison currently resides in Tenterden, Kent, and also holds classes for miniature painting at Maidstone. Many of her students are now members of prominent miniature societies...
